Brazilian Ucuuba Butter Revisited???

Years ago (probably 2 or so ago) I purchased a small quantity of Ucuuba Fruit Butter from one of my favorite suppliers. When I opened the jar, the stuff smelled really earthy and smokey to me. I immediately made a mental note that the odor of this butter would probably be very hard to mask. I then shoved it back into my supply cabinet of products that would go dusty and never thought about it again until recently.

I visit one supplier's site and see that this butter is getting rave reviews. I immediately wanted to kick myself for not testing some recipes with it first before shelving it away.

It is said to be a very moisturizing and non-greasy butter for use in soaps, hair products, lotions, and candles (due to it's somewhat waxy nature). According to Amazonia Preciosa by Surya, "it (has) the ability to hydrate and shape curls whilst controlling frizz. A google search shows that it may be trending towards products for curly hair. Interesting, huh?

So now I have to place yet another order for the butter (because the other one is really old) so I can test it further. I can't wait to soap it and try is as a hair butter:)

I have already tried just about every type of Amazon oil & butter I could think of thanks to The Body Shop. If you can get your hands on some, also try the muru muru butter, cupuacu butter, and other precious oils from Brazil.

I have a few goodies that I need to release that will contain Acai Fruit Oil, Tucuma butter and more. Life is grand:)
